Dear Dr. Cliffe,
What an absolute delight it was to visit Hereford Cathedral this (Sunday)
afternoon, and to hear Schola Aquae Sulis sing Evensong.
Please convey my apologies to one of your soaring solo sopranos, she had the
unfortunate experience of being the first chorister that I encountered after
the service, I'm afraid she was on the receiving end of my unbridled joy
having heard SAS for the first time.
The responses and Amens are simply delicious. Are they published?
I'm rather disappointed that the choir do not seem to have recorded!
The Schola has a rare delicate quality.

Dear Dr Cliffe,
May I firstly apologise for this unsolicited email.
I am writing to extend an invitation to Schola Aquae Sulis
to sing at Guildford Cathedral.
Our Organist and Master of the Choristers, Katherine Dienes-Williams,
heard the choir during evensong at Hereford this week and very much
enjoyed the singing .I note that you have week residences organised until 2013,
however we would be happy to book into summer 2014 if you were at all interested.
Guildford is a lovely place to visit – the town is very pleasant, and the
Cathedral is beautiful and atmospheric, as well as offering
a warm and friendly welcome.
I do hope that you may consider visiting us in the future,
and I hope to be in touch with you again soon.
